. Wellingborough Volunteer Bureau rebranded!
As part of a Volunteering England initiative, the Bureau has been renamed Volunteer Centre Wellingborough. A launch took place on June 1st. The rebranding will raise the profile of the Volunteer Centre with benefits of publicity and marketing materials provided by Volunteering England. The brand relates to brokerage, marketing volunteering, good practice development, developing volunteering opportunities and strategic development of volunteering.

We have two minibuses which provides a service for people in the town and rural areas covered by the bureau The service is based at the Shopmobiltity premises in Orient Way		Our Volunteer Car Service takes people to medical appointments. There is a special vehicle available for wheel chair users		At Shopmobility in Orient Way, we hire mobility aids like wheelchairs and scooters

We find fulfilling placements for volunteers of all ages and abilities, matching their needs to the needs of those organisations requesting support		At our Park Road premises we offer photocopying facilities, a Community Computer with internet access and a range of programmes. We are also developing an Information point with publications about organisations, services, legislation etc. Our accessible premises at 8 Park Road are available for hire		We offer help and advice to community organisations with such things as funding applications Our Park Road reception also provides replacement hearing aid batteries
