Families of Asperger Children Together |
FACT is a parent support group, set up for the families of children and young adults with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Aspergers Syndrome |
-
We have been formed by a group of parents whose aim is to offer support and supply information and facts to other carers who want o help and support a young person with this lifetime condition
|
-
We are not professionals, but we all have the experience of having a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder
|
-
If you feel we can help you, or perhaps you can help us with your experiences, then please come and join us. You will be made very welcome
|
-
We meet once a month on a Thursday evening at Kingsley School, Churchill Way, Kettering between 7.30-9.30pm. Download details (Word doc)
|
-
At our meetings we have a selection of leaflets and a large lending library where you can borrow books and videos for a small charge
|
-
We also have a "for sale table" where you purchase items to make you and your child's life easier. These include Radar keys, self tie shoes laces and "Asperger cards" on key rings which explains your child's diagnosis to others.
|
-
We organise talks, visitors, discussions, video evenings and have parties and days out which children and their siblings can join in
